Each day at Far End Pre-Training begins with the care and conditioning of young racehorses, mentally and physically preparing them for the demands of full training. Each horse receives a tailored nutrition plan customised for their individual needs. Schooled with patience and expertise, they are introduced to starting stalls, learning to approach and stand quietly and with confidence—an essential foundation for their future on the track.

The farm's natural surroundings play a vital role in the horses' development. The horses train on a scenic uphill trail and two grassy tracks, which help build strength and endurance. After training, they are turned out into safe, spacious paddocks to graze and socialise, ensuring they remain relaxed, healthy, and well-adjusted—contributing to a happy learning environment. A happy horse is an engaged horse, and our approach results in young racehorses that are cooperative, confident, and ready to progress.

At Far End Pre-Training, expert care extends beyond training, with a trusted team of equine specialists ensuring every horse's health and well-being. Our dedicated vet, Dr Allen Bechard, works alongside farrier Mr Wayne Dick, equine technician Mr Zayed Anthony, and physiotherapist Miss Birgit Schroder to keep our horses in peak physical condition.

Far End is committed to the welfare of every horse in its care. As an anti-animal cruelty facility, we believe in treating horses with respect and understanding, valuing their well-being as much as their performance. We also offer retirement services for horses, ponies, and donkeys, as well as rehabilitation for those in need of specialised care.

At the end of each day, the horses return to their very own stable, but with a friend right next door, they always have a companion nearby. This further reinforces the social environment that makes Far End Pre-Training a place where horses thrive.
